Are “Real” Actors on the way out?
August 19, 2008 10:20 pmA significant barrier in computer animation may have been broken. Up to now, it’s been very difficult to animate computer-generated actors to the point where they resemble live human actors.
Check out the fake Emily (from Image Metrics) below. Do you think this barrier has been broken or there is still more work to be done before they are realistic enough for studios to dump $20 million-per-film actors/actresses?
